Teaching Assistant (Primary Division, Including Nursery):

The successful candidate will be working within our Pre-School setting where there are approximately 50 full time places in our Nursery and Pre School for children who are already 3 on the 1st of September or who will turn 3 during the term in which they start.

The swan is the emblem of Bury Grammar, so the school’s youngest members are called the Fledglings and Cygnets. A key focus of their role will also be our Wrap Around Care provisions which currently include Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Clubs.

The aim of the Nursery and Pre School is to create an environment which prepares children for their first steps into education. We seek to form excellent relationships between children, families and teachers, helping the children to grow and develop into happy, healthy and self-assured individuals.

This candidate must:

           Have experience of working in a pre-school, nursery, KS1 or a children’s centre setting

           Have experience of working in wrap around care

           Be passionate about nurturing the development of young children

           Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills

           Have a sound understanding of the Early Years curriculum and safeguarding

           Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday,  9am to 6pm, all year round. The salary for this role is £25,600 per annum.

The HR Officer will support the HR Manager in the provision of a high quality, efficient HR service for the whole school. This is a customer focused role to provide effective support across the HR function with particular focus on recruitment, employee records and operational HR advice as well as administration. 

Hours of work will be 8.30am to 4.30pm working Monday to Friday.  Please note that this is role within corporate services and the candidate will be expected to work all year round including the term time holidays.

Graduate Sports Intern

Graduate Sports Assistant

Purpose of the Job

The role of the Graduate Sports Intern is to assist in the teaching of PE lessons, coaching teams, assisting with fixtures and administrative tasks under the guidance of the Director of Sport.

 

The candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and also Saturday morning fixtures.  Please note that this is a term time only role.

The Role and Opportunity

Bury Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a full time, term time only Sports Coach to work in the Senior School and Sixth Form.

You will be responsible for engaging our pupils in a variety of sports activities, encouraging an active lifestyle and most importantly, imparting a love of sport throughout our pupils’ time here at Bury Grammar School.

Reporting to the Director of Sport you will be responsible for coaching various sports (in particular netball, football, rugby, basketball). The Sports Coach is not a teaching role but will be expected to lead games sessions, support PE lessons across the School and occasionally cover absent colleagues.

An ability/willingness to take the lead in one of the following areas:

• Basketball

• Football

• Netball
